SOUL OF LIGHT

 

The series entitled “Soul of Light” depicts a slice of my street photography journey with Leica.  The stealthy and subdued design of a Leica camera gives me the opportunity to be unobtrusive in keeping the space between me and the subject while the details the full frame sensor and how it captures light is what gives life to my images.

When I walk down the street and I see light, it ignites my creative mind and illuminates my eyes to see the beauty in the mundane.  Light plays a crucial role in my street photographs as it does not only determine the exposure I want to create, but more importantly, it sets the tone, mood, and expression of the subjects. The texture, vibrancy, luminosity and details of my images is a what gives soul to a light.

 

Each of the photographs included in the series shows how light is embraced and controlled in different ways giving a pensive and raw touch to every image.
